FRANCESCO // From an early age he was nicknamed "The Baker", for his marked propensity to wake up before the cock crows. He took his first steps in a small bakery, first delivering the baguettes by bike, then kneading loaves of brown bread. Later he moved to the USA, where he refined his skills at "Famoso Bakery Mattutino", the most famous bakery in the States. He participated in various international competitions, distinguishing himself by the use of the Inuit wheat, wheat grown just below the polar ice. In 2003 he participated for the first time at the Bakery World Cup, where, however, he was disqualified and then arrested after a scuffle with a bakery from across the Alps during a heated discussion about which reigns supreme; the French "baguette" or the Italian “pagnotto casereccio". He currently works at "Montanusi Bros. - Italian Sopraffinis Bakery” in San Francisco.
GIORGIO // Born in a small Apennine town of Abruzzo he studied for 7 years in the aristocratic and prestigious University of Coffee in Colombia and soon became one of the most important connoisseurs of coffee in the world. He returned to Italy after his studies and began to cultivate coffee plants with hybrid grafted dwarf juniper. The mixture which resulted was immediately appreciated so much that it was awarded the prestigious "Chicco d'Oro", the highest honour in the world of coffee. Two years later he collaborated with a renowned manufacturer of coffee machines to create the perfect Moka, made with scrap satellites and black bamboo grown in Sweden. Awake continuously for 21 years, a rare visitor to luxury coffeehouses, last seen wandering at night in the mountains on a mechanical horse.
